Description
Description: A dark chromatic theme (which becomes Titus's second theme) is introduced as we read a newspaper headline about a political boss arriving in Boldon to speak with the sheriff about choosing a candidate for the state legislature; the music cuts out abruptly as Titus throws the newspaper to the ground; this theme is identical to the Mysterious variant of Sue's theme from Crime School
On-screen: A newspaper headline

Film annotations: [m. 31] Dissolve
Orchestration annotations: [m. 31] gong / timp / piano pedal W.W.; [m. 33] trbs in hat; [m. 35] harp
Analysis: Features a sequence of triads leaping in a zig-zag pattern; the interval of the leaps vary <-6, +5, -7, +6, -9, +6>
